Some weddings just radiate love in a way that’s impossible to miss—and Jenny and Jake’s celebration was exactly that. From their infectious laughter to the way their joy overflowed onto everyone around them, they were an absolute dream to work with.

Planning their wedding from Washington, DC, Jenny and Jake put incredible trust in their vendor team from afar. We were honored to step in as their Month-of Coordinator, ensuring every detail came together seamlessly. From offering final guidance and communicating with vendors, to managing behind-the-scenes tasks like setup and end of the night hotel delivery, our job was to make sure Jenny and Jake (and their families!) could simply soak in the moment.

A Full-Circle Beginning

The couple’s wedding weekend started on the perfect note with a welcome party at Ryan’s Wake—the very spot where Jenny and Jake first met seven years ago. Guests were greeted with heartfelt toasts, plenty of laughter, and the kind of “this just feels right” magic that only happens when love comes full circle.

Getting Ready in The Nest at Revolution Hall

Jenny’s wedding morning began in the Upstairs Nest at Revolution Hall, a gorgeous upgraded suite designed with couples in mind. The Nest provided the perfect space for hair, makeup, and those quiet yet joy-filled moments before the ceremony. With natural light streaming in and plenty of room for her bridal party to relax, laugh, and share mimosas, it was the ideal setting for capturing those timeless “getting ready” memories.

Jenny’s look came together flawlessly with the help of Danica and Olivia from One Hair Artistry, who styled her hair and makeup into a soft, romantic finish that perfectly complemented her gown and bouquet from EE Floral Design. Meanwhile, Jake and his groomsmen were getting ready in a local hotel, filled with laughter, high-fives, and those calm pre-ceremony nerves every groom knows well.

The Ceremony at Revolution Hall

Jenny and Jake’s ceremony at Brown’s Revolution Hall was everything a wedding ceremony should be—sweet, heartfelt, and perfectly them. The space, with its warm industrial character and romantic floral accents from EE Floral Design, created a stunning backdrop for the moment they said “I do.”

Adding to the intimacy of the day, the ceremony was officiated by a long-time friend, which made it even more personal and meaningful. Their vows were short and to the point, filled with laughter, love, and happy tears from both the couple and their guests. It was the kind of ceremony where you could truly feel the connection—not only between Jenny and Jake, but between them and everyone who had gathered to celebrate.

The Reception Celebration

Jenny and Jake’s reception was the perfect mix of heartfelt moments and playful fun. Guests were welcomed by a custom welcome sign—one of our rentals—that set the tone for the evening. Right alongside it was our vintage-style audio guest book phone, where guests could pick up the receiver and leave heartfelt messages, funny stories, and advice for the newlyweds. Instead of a book that sits on a shelf, Jenny and Jake will now have a collection of voices and memories to cherish for years to come.

The couple also incorporated their love of games in creative ways. Their seating chart doubled as a custom Jenga display, where guests found their name and table number on a block, then wrote a “new rule” or fun message for the newlyweds to discover every time they play together. A dedicated board game table gave guests another chance to connect and play throughout the evening, keeping the atmosphere lively and interactive.

To keep the energy high, Jenny and Jake included not one, but two crowd-favorite reception activities: the Shoe Game—which had guests roaring with laughter as the couple answered lighthearted questions about their relationship—and a Photo Rush, where their photographer went table to table snapping a quick picture with every guest. It made sure no one was left out of the memories, and the resulting gallery is such a fun snapshot of all the people who celebrated with them.

As dinner flowed into heartfelt toasts and a packed dance floor (thanks to McFish Entertainment), the evening wrapped up on a sweet note with custom cake from Villa Italia Bakery. Every detail reflected Jenny and Jake’s personalities—warm, joyful, and a little playful—and guests left with memories as sweet as the couple themselves.

The After-Party

As if the wedding day wasn’t magical enough, Jenny and Jake’s celebration came full circle once more with an after-party back at Ryan’s Wake. The space where they first crossed paths now became the setting for their first night as newlyweds surrounded by friends and family. It was personal, meaningful, and the perfect ending to their love-filled weekend.
